The Church City Mission in Drammen

Through care, humanity, respect and presence, employees and volunteers of the Church City Mission in Drammen work to ease the lives of fellow human beings in the community.

Mjøndalen Idrettsforening (MIF)

In 2008 MIF stepped back onto the stage of Norwegian top flight football by qualifying for the first division. Most of the other football teams in the first division have budgets that are five to six times bigger. Mjøndalen IF faces the challenge with realism and guts.

Portåsen – with the word at the centre

Norwegian poet Herman Wildenvey grew up on Portåsen farm in Mjøndalen. In 2007 Nedre Eiker municipality bought the farm, after the Validus Group and others contributed funds to develop the place. The small farm where he scribbled his first words on the barn wall has become a cultural centre where the word is at centre stage.

Validus also supports several other organizations with smaller amounts.
