Validus’s history goes back to 1976 when the Seventh-day Adventist society in Lillehammer, Norway founded a company called Nutana Norway. Through thick and thin, the company became Norway’s largest specialty firm selling supplements as well as health and wellness products. The Stykket family bought and took over the company in 1994, and in the period from 1995 to 2006 its turnover increased from 40 million Norwegian crowns (NOK) to almost 2,6 billion NOK.
