“Validus wants to help build up Bringwell into a strong Nordic company. This company has undergone very positive development over the past few years, and our aim is to develop Bringwell into a solid Nordic player in production, import and marketing of personal care products,” says Arild Kristensen, who is on the executive team at Validus and is also the Chairman of Bringwell AB.
Additional major investors wanted on the ownership side
Validus has no plans to own all shares in Bringwell and hence to make the company a wholly owned subsidiary. “We would be happy to see one or more major investors joining us on the ownership side of things. The ownership interest we currently have is enough to allow us to develop Bringwell into a central player in the Nordic market,” says Kristensen.
Validus, strong in capital, gives Bringwell the opportunity to grow
“A major owner strong in capital, as Validus is, gives Bringwell the opportunity to grow. We would’ve found it difficult to implement some of the purchases we made in 2007 without Validus,” says General Manager David Rønnberg of Bringwell. “For Bringwell, this acquisition doesn’t mean any significant changes. Validus already owned around 49% of shares in the company,” says Rønnberg.
Bringwell has implemented a series of acquisitions over the past two years
Over the past two years, Bringwell has implemented a number of acquisitions on both Sweden and Norway. “Naturally, we will be assessing opportunities as they arise, but we have no specific acquisition plans. We will now be working hard to build on what we already have,” concludes Kristensen.
